Studying Latin allows your student to learn language foundation for many Romance languages, such as French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese. Learning Latin can also help improve English grammar and vocabulary to support your student’s success. The Unlock Your Potential Latin Tutor is Ms. Aura Rizzo. Ms. Rizzo lives and works in Concord, MA where she teaches Latin and coaches both field hockey and ice hockey at the Middlesex School.

Ms. Rizzo is passionately interested in the literature of the ancient Roman world, particularly exploring the roles played by early Imperial women in Roman society. She loves helping students engage with the Latin language and Roman culture at every level. Ms. Rizzo also enjoys helping students build the confidence that a strong grammatical foundation creates for a successful experience.

Prior to joining the Middlesex community, Ms. Rizzo taught middle and high school Latin at Rocky Hill Country Day in East Greenwich, RI. She holds an MA Honors (Scot) from the University of Edinburgh and a Masters in Classics from Boston College.
